Fatal Claw Fusion Skills

Fusion Skills are powerful combined abilities in Fatal Claw that require finding component glyphs and entering the correct recipe at the Combinator. This guide covers all five verified fusion skills, their exact recipes, glyph identification, and where to find the clues.

How fusion skills work

Fusion Skills require:

1. The Combinator — obtained from Jack’s Vault (achievement: Jack’s Vault)
2. Five component glyphs — found throughout the game world
3. Correct recipe formula — each fusion skill has a specific left-to-right input order

Once you have the Combinator, access it from the Claw Tree menu. Enter the component glyphs in the correct order to create the fusion skill. The Combinator reads inputs left to right, so reversing two icons produces a different formula.

The five glyphs

Every formula uses the same five component pictures. Match shape and color together, because color alone can be misleading in dark rooms or when effects animate over the interface.

1. Deflecting Blade

A defensive fusion that throws a blade which strikes surrounding enemies consecutively. Use it to create safe openings.

Recipe: Blue crescent → Red starburst (200 mana readback)

Clue source: A drafting-table scene in the workshop area where a character examines a diagram through a magnifying lens. The board shows blue crescent first, red starburst second.

2. Mythical Creature’s Retribution

A defensive counter fusion. Triggers a shield from the creature’s remains; a successful block launches counterattacking spikes.

Recipe: Purple shield → Red starburst → Green fangs (100 mana readback)

Clue source: The clue is in the Nagaraja Ruins. Enter three adjacent rooms from left to right to establish the sequence: purple shield, red starburst, green fangs. Traversal direction matters — visiting right to left reverses the recipe.

3. Nagaraja’s Illusions

A utility fusion that creates a recurring serpent illusion which bites nearby enemies before vanishing.

Recipe: Red starburst → Purple shield → Green fangs → Blue crescent (200 mana readback)

Clue source: A riddle in Residential Area 2: “The crimson thorns, and the recipient of their dark protection. Behold the viridian fangs that shall raze the blue moon.” Color-noun pairs map directly: crimson thorns = red starburst, dark protection = purple shield, viridian fangs = green fangs, blue moon = blue crescent.

4. Automata: Annihilation

An offensive fusion that summons a thrown automaton which wipes nearby enemies with an explosion.

Recipe: Automaton eye → Blue crescent (100 mana readback)

Clue source: Aurora Village, in the room above the Sealed Transport Route. A four-stage progress bar is shown with the room checkpoint. Advance the local track until the clue room presents automaton eye followed by blue crescent.

5. Extermination Protocol

The final and most powerful fusion skill. A devastating area attack that summons a giant guardian to attack nearby hostile targets.

Recipe: Automaton eye → Blue crescent → Purple shield → Green fangs → Red starburst (500 mana readback)

Clue source: The right-side corridor of Robot Workshop. The required donation amount varies between players — donate until the room’s own state advances and the five-icon machine display is available, then read the display rather than assuming a fixed number.

Opening the Combinator

The achievement Jack’s Vault is the equipment gate for the Combinator. Jack’s Vault is the box with two ring marks immediately to Jack’s left in the early game area. Open it to obtain the Combinator, then confirm the Fusion interface accepts multiple Engraved Skill icons before leaving to collect clues.

If the box has been opened but no multi-slot interface is available, recheck the unlock. A formula clue cannot compensate for a missing Combinator.
