Fatal Claw Map and Exploration
Carox from minute one, Stone Warp, and every named region.
Fatal Claw opens the map on purpose. The developers built Carox — Cat, Radar, Codex — so you are not wandering a blank Metroidvania fog for an hour. Markers, drones, and fill-as-you-go rooms are part of the design. This Map Hub is the index for geography, pickups, people, and the 1.0 wetland. Region pages: Origin Laboratory, Elord Castle, Aphotic Marsh, Kannir Belt, Moss Cave, Higasha Tundra, Jayma’s Dungeon. Also All Areas, Collectibles, and Survivors. The PC nav shows the first of those and sends the rest here via View all.
Stone Warp is the named fast-travel verb in patch notes (especially the Upper Elord Castle lever warning). Beacons and survivor rescues feed the same “do not get stuck” fantasy. We will explain travel in general terms, not as a fake six-hub subway map from a fan zone list.
Carox from the start
You get a map immediately. Rooms colour in as you walk. You can drop markers. The Codex half of Carox is why collectibles and journals matter: the radar shows where you have been; the codex remembers what you read. If a door is still a mystery, the answer is usually a Mutated Ability, a story object such as King’s Authority, or a 1.0 tool such as Silver Chain — not a map pack you buy from an NPC this wiki invented.
Open Carox when you feel lost. Then open All Areas when you need the official region names in one table. Origin Laboratory, Jibanam moss, Strigine winds, Black Canyon mud, Higasha ice, Elord gold, Jayma seals, Kannir green, and Aphotic black each have a different movement rule.
Stone Warp and travel
Stone Warp lets you jump the underworld once the relevant stones and levers exist. The only official caution we will print: do not Stone Warp out of Upper Elord Castle without activating the lever, or you can block progression (patched, but the lesson remains). Vanrion’s Gate is a named teleport achievement (and an upgrade). Treat gates, warps, and survivor-related travel as one family: they exist to reduce backtrack pain, not to skip ability gates.
If a warp dumps you into an empty cutscene map, that was a known bug. Reload, walk, or warp again. Do not assume the region was deleted.
What to read next
- Need a region glossary? All Areas — table plus a section for every official name on this wiki’s confirmed list.
- Need pickup types? Collectibles — Kannium, stones, Cabitz, costumes, Iedart, memory cards. Steam and Codex track totals; we will not invent chest counts.
- Need people? Survivors — rescue is real; Kane/Cain is a community question; no fake roster of thirteen.
- Need 1.0’s new wetland? Aphotic Marsh — sludge, Sorr traces, Silver Chain, deepest corruption.
- Need the opening lab or 1.0 return? Origin Laboratory.
- Need the golden kingdom? Elord Castle — levers before Stone Warp, King’s Authority.
- Need green poison pipes? Kannir Belt — Kannir liquid versus Kannic currency.
Combat still happens on this map. When a room is an arena, jump to the Bosses Hub. When a wall is an ability wall, jump to Mutated Abilities. When you want a story path instead of a gazetteer, use the Full Walkthrough.
Fatal Claw’s underworld is Elord Kingdom ruins plus Commoner laboratories plus Sorr ice plus Kannir industry plus marsh that should not exist. Carox is how you hold that in your head. Use it early, warp carefully, and let the child pages name rooms the old fan wiki never got right.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Do I start with a map?
Yes. Carox is available from the beginning. Rooms fill as you explore. You can place markers. You do not buy zone maps from a shop.
What is Stone Warp?
A named fast-travel method. Activate required levers first — especially in Upper Elord Castle — then warp. It does not replace Mutated Abilities for gated walls.
Is Aphotic Marsh on the same map?
Yes. It is the 1.0 lightless wetland where sludge pools. Reach it after earlier regions; Steam tracks the arrival achievement.
Where are survivor beacons?
Scattered through the underworld as part of rescue play. This hub will not invent thirteen coordinates. See [Survivors](/map/survivors/) for how rescue and travel interact.
Does the map show every collectible?
Carox is detailed, but exact 100% counts live in Steam achievements and the Codex. Use [Collectibles](/map/collectibles/) for types, not a fake numbered chest list.
