Fatal Claw Endings Guide

Credits, epilogue, the stone, and extra cycles.

Endings Guide

Fatal Claw’s ending structure is not a labeled Bad, Good, and True trio. A lot of older copy still uses those three names as if they were trophies. In 1.0 you can hit credits, then keep playing through an epilogue. The game tracks work on the Stone of Narrative. Some of those objectives conflict, so a “do everything in one pass” checklist can lock you out of a beat you wanted. This page explains the systems we can confirm, the player questions that are still messy, and how extra cycles interact with collectibles. Pair it with New Game Plus once you rewind, and with the full walkthrough if you still need a region name.

Credits first, then the epilogue

When the credits roll, you are not necessarily finished. An epilogue continues the story after that cinematic dump. Do not quit to desktop the second the names start. Sit through it, then look at what the Stone of Narrative still lists. If you expected a single slide that says True Ending, you will not get an official stamp with that wording. The longest happy set of narrative segments is a completion style players chase. It is not a menu name.

Stone of Narrative

The Stone of Narrative is the objective tracker. Read it. Some entries are mutually exclusive: finishing one can close another. That is why “rescue everyone and also do every side death” advice fails. Plan around the stone, not around a wiki’s fake three-ending table. Story furniture that feeds the stone includes castle seals in Jayma’s Dungeon (King Examu), King’s Authority and the Stone of Immortality Chamber in Lower Elord Castle, Sorr traces in Aphotic Marsh, and ancestral material at the Shrine of Ancestors. Aisare’s Stone and Acer stones show up as named story items. Acer stones reset on extra cycles; do not assume a first-cycle Acer pickup still sits in the same chest after rewind.

If two stone objectives describe opposite treatments of a character or a site, pick the one that matches the epilogue you want, then live with the other door closing. This wiki will not invent a hidden percentage bar. The stone is the bar.

Cycle 34 to 35

After rewind, the documented cycle number moves from 34 to 35. That numbering is part of the world’s fiction, not a Steam achievement name. Extra cycles are how the game lets you chase remaining narrative segments, afterglow walls, and pickups that changed form. See New Game Plus for what resets versus what stays. This endings page only needs you to know that “one credits roll” is not the same as “the stone is empty.”

Afterglow walls

Afterglow walls are blue. They are a post-credits or extra-cycle traversal layer, not a first-hour Origin Laboratory trick. If you see a blue wall you cannot pass on cycle 34, mark it on Carox and come back after rewind. Do not waste hours trying to Blink through it on a first clear unless the room already taught you that you can. Drones help you screenshot the wall so you remember which region it was in.

Curing people with sap

You can cure people using gym sap or jibanam sap. Lower Moss Cave is where Jibanam Trees and the Jibanam Tribe live, so sap hunting is not a random side chore if you care about the happier narrative bundle. Sap resets on extra cycles. If you spend it all on the wrong NPCs, you may need another loop. This page will not publish an unconfirmed list of every curable person. Use the Stone of Narrative plus in-game character names. Sorr as a faction and Sorron as leader matter on the marsh-and-politics side of the plot; they are not automatically the same as a sap-cure checklist.

Kane or Cain

Players ask whether they can rescue Kane or Cain (spellings vary in discussion). It is a known question. This wiki does not have an official developer sentence that settles every spelling and every outcome. If the Stone of Narrative offers a rescue or a refusal tied to that character, treat the stone as the authority. If you miss the rescue on cycle 34, extra cycles and memory-fragment logic may still let you chase related segments. Confirm in your own log rather than trusting a three-ending flowchart.

Memory fragments

On later cycles, memory fragments replace collectibles you already took. You will not double-dip the same heart or mana piece as a second raw upgrade. Fragments are the substitute. That is why a “100 percent items on one save file” mindset has to include cycle logic. The longest happy narrative set often needs fragments, afterglow walls, and sap all in play together. It still is not branded True Ending in official UI copy we can cite.

Enma and the royal stack

Enma, the Golden Spirit Wolf, is a named character-boss in the Higasha neighborhood. Castle seals, King Examu, and King’s Authority sit in the Elord and Jayma spaces. These are story bosses and story keys, not proof of seven official bosses. Nagaraja shows up as corpse and lore as much as a duel. Ortrinde and Irbes are confirmed encounters with mechanical notes (floating blades; clumping copies). None of them is a labeled final-form menu item.

If you came here from credits confusion, go next to New Game Plus or back to the Walkthrough Hub. Bring Carox. The stone and the blue walls will do more for you than a fan-made ending chart.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is there an official True Ending?

No official True Ending stamp is used here. The longest happy set of narrative segments is a completion style, not a menu trophy name.

What is the Stone of Narrative?

It is the objective tracker. Some objectives are mutually exclusive. Plan around the stone instead of a three-ending flowchart.

What does cycle 35 mean?

After rewind the documented cycle number moves from 34 to 35. Extra cycles reset bosses, Acer stones, and sap while keeping abilities. See New Game Plus.

Can I rescue Kane or Cain?

It is a known player question. This wiki does not invent a guaranteed dialogue path. If the Stone of Narrative offers a rescue, that entry is the authority.

What are afterglow walls?

Blue walls tied to later-cycle traversal. Mark them on Carox if you bounce off them before rewind.

What are memory fragments?

On extra cycles they replace collectibles you already took, including heart and mana pieces, so you do not duplicate the same raw upgrades.
