Fatal Claw Boss Order by Region

A suggested route, not a fake numbered list of seven.

Boss Order by Region

Fatal Claw does not publish a neat “Boss 1 through Boss 7” card. Ability gates, Stone Warp, and 1.0 regions mean two explorers can meet the same named enemy at different hours. This page is a suggested order by region, using Steam achievement geography and official teasers. It is not a claim that every arena in a zone is listed, and it is not a complete count.

If you are lost on tools rather than doors, jump to Mutated Abilities. If you want fight advice instead of routing, use How to Beat Early Bosses and How to Beat Late Bosses. Region flavour lives on All Areas.

How to use this order

Follow the region sequence the expansions actually added: Origin Laboratory outward, then Strigine Quarry / Black Canyon / Higasha Tundra, then Elord Castle content, then Jayma’s Dungeon and the Kannir Belt, then 1.0’s Aphotic Marsh. Inside a region, clear what your current Blink, climb, glide, and Lyani’s Claws can reach. Backtrack when a new Mutated Ability or the Silver Chain opens a wall you already saw.

Steam achievement percentages are a rough popularity order, not a difficulty ranking. Early names such as Saitin sit near the start of most saves. Late names such as Sorron sit near the end of 1.0. Everything between is a braid.

Origin Laboratory and Upper Origin Laboratory

Kisha wakes in the Origin Laboratory life-support story. Upper Origin Laboratory is the 1.0 teaser for returning to the place research began: Commoners studying Elord technology and Kannir until contamination sealed the surface under King Odz. Expect tutorial pressure, infected rooms, and at least one early named defeat.

Likely named beats here or immediately after: Saitin is the earliest Steam boss achievement. Mirkam is tied to restoring power to a village — treat that as an early-middle infrastructure fight, not a late castle duel. Neither has a public pattern bible; scout, Blink through the obvious swipe, and take the owl statue if one appears.

Nagaraja is not a “first boss.” Remember the corpse and Carbo’s Prayer as lore you may pass while the laboratory still feels like home.

Lower Moss Cave (Jibanam)

Lower Moss Cave is the old water-and-forest heart of the Elord Kingdom: Jibanam Trees, streams, and a tribe that guarded the source until blackened vegetation took the sanctuary. Steam also tracks Meditation of Jibanam as a mutation that helps you deal with water. If a fight here happens over poison streams or hanging moss, the answer is usually better traversal and healing pieces, not a fake elemental chart.

No public teaser names a unique Moss Cave world boss. If you meet a large infected guardian, use the same scouting rules as the Bosses Hub: first attempt is information.

Strigine Quarry

The 1st Expansion opened Strigine Quarry after a stormwind / updraft approach. Owl artisans once processed stone for Stones of Records; the high interior holds the Stone Sanctuary. Steam tracks reaching the quarry and later lifting a seal in the Stone Sanctuary.

Updrafts plus glide (and grabbing walls while gliding) matter as much as claw DPS. Patch notes once mentioned an invincible spot in a specific quarry area — if something feels unfair, move; do not assume the boss is broken forever. Irbes is a strong candidate for this band of the game: community reports say phase-two copies spawn clumped, which charges mana quickly if you keep hitting instead of kiting to the fog of war.

Black Canyon

Black Canyon begins at colossal remains in the Ashen Valley and once linked Elord Castle to the quarry. After the outbreak it is rotting ichor and mud, with remnants of the Imprint School. Steam tracks reaching the canyon and passing the Trial of the Imprinter.

This is a pattern-heavy region even when the wiki cannot name the arena boss. Engraved Skills are the school’s whole fantasy — bring a charged skill, not an empty bar. Ortrinde’s untelegraphed floating blades are the kind of “object in space” threat that fits dark canyon geometry; whether you meet Ortrinde here or nearby, practise Blink without waiting for a huge cast banner.

Higasha Tundra, Tenshukaku, Wolf Gate

Higasha Tundra is the frozen eastern edge, homeland of the Sorr. Deep inside, the Wolf Gate opens onto Tenshukaku, stronghold of Sorron. Enma, the Golden Spirit Wolf, blocks Kisha with illusion sorcery while Sorron’s plan finishes. Steam tracks reaching the tundra; teasers put Enma specifically in this cluster.

Suggested local order: explore the tundra approaches, respect the Wolf Gate as a story door, then treat Tenshukaku interiors as a late-mid gauntlet. Do not invent extra wolf bosses. Enma is the named Sorr warrior in the way. Sommar is another named Steam defeat in this general third of the achievement list — if you have not seen Sommar yet by the time ice and wolves dominate the palette, keep exploring rather than assuming a skip.

Cain’s duel achievement sits in the same late-middle band as castle and dungeon content. It may not happen on the tundra; it is listed here only so you do not confuse “duel Cain” with “rescue Kane.” Details stay on Survivors.

Lower and Upper Elord Castle, Isaac Manor, Mirror Chamber, Grand Square

Steam tracks reaching Elord Castle. Patch notes mention Grand Square arena battles, Isaac Manor switch-doors, Mirror Chamber (do not wall-climb the mirrors — that was a bug), and a Stone Warp plus lever sequence in Upper Elord Castle that could softlock if you warped without activating the lever.

This cluster is late-middle to late. Expect elite rooms and at least one arena event in Grand Square. The King’s Authority / Golden Claw story beats belong to castle and dungeon lore, not to a fake final form named True Fatal Claw. If a fight uses reflections, trust contact damage more than the pretty copy.

Jayma’s Dungeon and Kannir Belt

Jayma’s Dungeon is the sealed forbidden archive King Examu ordered Jayma to build. Steam tracks reaching it. Kannir Belt is lethal green beauty: liquid Kannir is toxic, solid Kannic was currency. Steam tracks reaching the belt and lifting a seal in the Kannir Sanctuary.

Bosses here are still mostly unnamed in public notes. Plan for environmental damage (toxicity, distorted space) and for long resource fights. That is why the late-boss page talks about healing pieces, mana pieces, and Cabitz sustain instead of invented enrage timers.

Aphotic Marsh and Shrine of Ancestors

1.0’s Aphotic Marsh is where black sludge pools in lightless wetland. Silver Chain is the traversal and combat tool that cuts through corruption. Steam tracks reaching the marsh and defeating Sorron. Shrine of Ancestors is a named region on the official list; treat it as a story shrine cluster, not as a made-up “final arena” with a fan nickname.

Suggested close: clear Kannir and dungeon obligations, enter the marsh with Silver Chain, then finish whatever ancestral shrine business your Carox still marks. Owl-heal after every named clear. For a beat-by-beat story path, switch to the Full Walkthrough rather than forcing this page into a seven-row table.

If your personal order disagrees with a neighbour’s, that is Metroidvania design working. Compare maps, not invented numbers.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Can I fight every boss in a different order?

Partly. Ability gates and story doors still exist. You can wander inside a region, but you cannot pretend Wolf Gate or Aphotic Marsh are tutorial rooms. Use Carox and Stone Warp; do not follow a fake list of seven.

Where does Enma sit in the order?

Official teasers place Enma in Higasha Tundra after the Wolf Gate, inside Tenshukaku, opposing Kisha with illusion sorcery. That is late-middle relative to laboratory starts and before or beside the deepest 1.0 marsh beats.

Is Nagaraja a boss I have to kill?

Public notes treat Nagaraja as lore and a corpse, with Carbo's Prayer in front of it. Do not wait for a secret phase that was never announced.

Why does this page skip HP and levels?

Fatal Claw does not publish a public boss HP list, and there is no honest player-level number to pair with each arena. Region plus abilities is the real gate.

What if I reached Elord Castle before the tundra?

Then your save branched. Finish whatever Carox still shows as a closed door, and use Stone Warp after levers in Upper Elord Castle so you do not skip a required switch.

Does 1.0 add bosses only in the marsh?

1.0 adds Aphotic Marsh and remaining story regions such as Upper Origin Laboratory and Lower Moss Cave. Named late threats include marsh corruption and Sorron. Other 1.0 arenas may exist without public names.
