Fatal Claw Cabitz Builds
Named charms only. Playstyles, not fake DPS tables.
Cabitz are Fatal Claw’s charm loadout. Developers described the naming joke in commentary (cat decorations, not a crystal MMO). Steam asks you to equip Cabitz. Expansions added named stones and even renamed one. This page lists only confirmed Cabitz and groups them into playstyle ideas. There are no DPS columns, no invented upgrade levels, and no fake slot coordinates in a made-up late zone.
Swap charms when the biome changes. Kannir toxicity and marsh sludge want different comfort than Ortrinde’s blade hallway. For the spender side, keep Engraved Skills in mind: a sustain Cabitz that lets you stay on a clump will charge Lightning Chain more honestly than a greed charm that sends you to the checkpoint.
Named Cabitz
Sage’s Moonstone — added in the 1st Expansion with Spirit Bead Rosary and the original Sacred Flame of Life. Moonstone reads as a sagely, quarry-owl, Strigine-adjacent charm. Use it when you want a calmer explorer row.
Spirit Bead Rosary — same drop wave. Rosary language is sustain and spirit, not a published heal-per-second. Pair it with marsh and Kannir expeditions.
Half Salvation Stone — this is the renamed Sacred Flame of Life. A patch even clarified the old description. If a guide still says Sacred Flame, they mean this stone. It is the backbone of a sustain row.
Traditional Royal Whetstone — 2nd Expansion. Whetstone is a committed-claw fantasy: sharper hits, castle steel, Elord pride. Good with Prepared Strike when you intend to stand in a pattern you already learned.
Prepared Strike — 2nd Expansion. The name is the playstyle. Stop flailing, charge a hit, release. Works with players who already scouted a boss cycle.
Dotiman’s Token — 2nd Expansion. No public numbers. Keep it as a named experimental token; try it in a save you can afford to test, not as a fake “best in slot.”
Heart of the Black Curse — 2nd Expansion. This is the curse / black row. Aphotic Marsh and Kannir corruption thematically match. It is not a license to stand in sludge.
Boundless Focus — mentioned in a mana bug fix: aerial attacks that hit walls should not restore mana while this is equipped. Play it as a focus charm for players who already hit real enemies. Do not farm walls.
Those eight names are the list. If your menu shows another Cabitz, it is real for your build — the public patch list is just incomplete. Do not delete it because a wiki omitted it.
Playstyle: aggressive Blink
Goal: spend time in the enemy’s face, Blink the committed swing, refill Engraved Skills with contact.
- Lean Prepared Strike and Traditional Royal Whetstone if you want the hit after the Blink to matter.
- Boundless Focus if you understand the wall-mana patch and still want a focus fantasy.
- Blink Attack Boost on Claw Trees supports this row. Lyani’s Claws is the mutation partner.
- Irbes is the lab: Blink only to avoid the one attack that would drop you, then stay on the copy pile.
- Ortrinde is the exam: aggressive Blink that spends the tool on style will eat a floating blade.
This row is hungry. Bring healing pieces. Half Salvation can sit in a flex slot if you keep dying to greed.
Playstyle: sustain (Half Salvation)
Goal: live through Kannir floors, marsh sludge, and long unnamed late arenas.
- Half Salvation Stone is the namesake.
- Spirit Bead Rosary and Sage’s Moonstone complete a calm explorer row.
- Owl statues after bosses are part of the same philosophy — official post-fight HP.
- Use this row in Kannir Belt and Aphotic Marsh even if you miss the “optimal DPS” that does not exist on this wiki.
- Early bosses still allow sustain. Learning Ortrinde on Half Salvation is valid.
Sustain is not AFK. You still charge Engraved Skills by hitting. You just get more cycles.
Playstyle: curse / black
Goal: lean into Heart of the Black Curse and the underworld’s sludge fantasy without confusing theme for a damage table.
- Heart of the Black Curse as the identity piece.
- Dotiman’s Token as the unknown spice.
- Silver Chain is the 1.0 mutation-side partner in the marsh. Cabitz do not replace the chain.
- Enma and Sorron are Sorr story, not automatically “black curse bosses.” Use the row if you like it, not because of a hidden multiplier.
If curse play is killing you in two hits, it is a sustain problem. Swap back to Half Salvation. Fatal Claw will not print a patch that says otherwise.
What not to build around
- Fake elemental sets (fire Cabitz versus ice tundra).
- Slot coordinates in fan zones that do not exist.
- Wall-punch mana with Boundless Focus.
- Sacred Flame of Life as a second stone — it was renamed.
- A five-piece “True Ending set.” Endings and survivors are a different system; see Survivors.
Iedart rewards, Blue Scale Robe, and Crimson Flare Dance are cosmetics or quest payoffs. They are not silent Cabitz. Kannic is currency, not a charm.
When a late boss still feels wrong, change one Cabitz and one habit (Blink timing or standing in Kannir) before you assume the charm is broken. Named stones are flavour and comfort. Your claw, your hits, and your mutations still do the work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What happened to Sacred Flame of Life?
It was renamed Half Salvation Stone. A patch also clarified the old description. Use Half Salvation for the sustain playstyle.
Is there a best Cabitz for bosses?
No published ranking. Aggressive Blink charms help when you already know the pattern. Half Salvation helps when the floor or the blades are new. Heart of the Black Curse is theme, not a DPS table.
Can Boundless Focus restore mana from walls?
Not as of the patch that removed mana restore from aerial wall hits while it was equipped. Hit enemies instead.
Do costumes count as Cabitz?
No. Blue Scale Robe and Crimson Flare Dance are obtainable costumes. Cabitz are the named charms listed on this page.
Where do I find each Cabitz?
Public notes do not give chest coordinates. They were added in the 1st and 2nd Expansions across quarry, canyon, tundra, castle, dungeon, and Kannir content. Explore and check the Codex.
Should I change Cabitz for Enma?
If illusions are killing you, sustain plus disciplined Blink usually beats curse greed. Reien's Covenant is an Engraved Skill, not a Cabitz.
