Fatal Claw Bosses
Named fights, honest gaps, and how to read the rest.
Fatal Claw is not a seven-boss checklist with invented names. NDEV GAMES shipped a full 1.0 Metroidvania on 26 August 2026, and the underworld is packed with named duels, arena events, and lore corpses that never stand up and fight. This Bosses Hub is the index for what we can actually confirm: Steam and patch notes name several encounters, community reports describe a few patterns in useful detail, and everything else should be learned by watching telegraphs instead of trusting a fake HP table.
Use the child pages as a loop, not a spoiler dump. The Boss Order page groups fights by region so you know what kind of arena you are walking into. How to Beat Early Bosses covers laboratory, quarry, canyon, and tundra pressure. Dedicated named fights: Ortrinde (floating blades, Pull Yourself Together), Irbes (clumping copies, Too Slow…), Enma (illusion wolf in Tenshukaku). How to Beat Late Bosses covers Elord Castle, Jayma’s Dungeon, the Kannir Belt, and 1.0 marsh threats. Pair those with Mutated Abilities and Cabitz Builds when a fight is asking for a different tool, not a different health bar.
Named encounters we can stand behind
Steam achievements and official teasers confirm several names. Treat this as a confirmed set, not a complete roster.
- Saitin — an early defeat tracked by the Weed Control achievement.
- Mirkam — tied to restoring power to a village, so the fight is as much infrastructure as damage.
- Irbes — community notes say phase-two copies spawn clumped, which is an easy mana farm if you keep hitting.
- Ortrinde — floating blades with weak telegraphs; a patch even mentioned Blink plus a downward attack confusing the camera.
- Sommar — a named defeat later in the achievement list.
- Cain — Steam tracks defeating Cain in a duel. That is not the same question as whether Kane or Cain can be rescued. See Survivors.
- Enma — the Golden Spirit Wolf in Higasha Tundra / Tenshukaku, using illusion sorcery while carrying out Sorron’s plan.
- Sorron — leader of the Sorr; Steam tracks defeating Sorron and ending that long ambition.
- Nagaraja — lore and a corpse, not a conventional duel. Patch notes mention Carbo’s Prayer in front of Nagaraja’s corpse.
There is also a Giant Guardian that you disable with a wave discharger rather than treating it like a claw-only DPS check. The game still has more bosses that are not named in public notes. If an arena is new to you, assume it is real content, not a missing wiki row.
Owl statues and recovery
After a boss, look for an owl statue. The 2nd Expansion added these specifically so you can recover HP once the encounter is clear. That is official. Do not skip the statue because you want to “save the heal for later” — the statue is the later. Then Stone Warp or walk to the next region with a full bar instead of limping into a trash room.
How to read unnamed bosses
Fatal Claw rewards pattern reading more than memorised percentages. Official patch notes never published a public HP table, and this wiki will not invent one.
- First attempt is scouting. Spend the opening seconds learning wind-up, projectile cadence, and whether the boss summons help. Dying with information is cheaper than dying while greedily comboing.
- Watch spawn clustering. Irbes taught the community that copies can clump. If a later unnamed boss does the same, keep swinging — Engraved Skills charge from hits, so a clump is a mana battery.
- Respect untelegraphed steel. Ortrinde’s floating blades are a warning that not every lethal object flashes a huge cast bar. Keep Blink ready for objects that simply appear.
- Illusion and copies. Enma’s published fantasy is reality-versus-illusion. If a late fight starts lying about where the body is, stop chasing afterimages and wait for the strike that still deals contact damage.
- Leave the lore corpses alone. Nagaraja is a reminder that a huge body on the floor can be story, not a second phase. Interact, read, move on.
Blink, wall climb, and glide (including grabbing a wall while gliding) are your reposition tools. Lyani’s Claws and the 1.0 Silver Chain change how you close gaps. Engraved Skills such as Snaga’s Lightning Chain and Reien’s Covenant are spenders you charge by connecting, not by waiting on a fake cooldown spreadsheet.
Difficulty, not fake modifiers
Fatal Claw is a single-player Steam game with adjustable challenge. Community discussion treats Story-friendly settings as a valid way to learn a pattern, then raise the heat once the move is readable. Nothing in the public notes says a boss “gains 30% HP on Hard.” If you are bouncing, swap Cabitz toward sustain (Half Salvation Stone, Spirit Bead Rosary) before you assume you are under-levelled. There is no XP bar in the old invented sense — you grow by Kannium on the Claw, Cabitz charms, Mutated Abilities, and pieces of heart, mana, and healing.
How this hub connects
Boss arenas sit on the same Carox map as everything else. When you do not know which door a fight is behind, open All Areas and route by region instead of by a fake numbered list of seven. When a late marsh fight is the problem, read Aphotic Marsh before you blame the build. For a full route through laboratories, tundra, castle, and 1.0 endings, use the Full Walkthrough. Steam tracks 51 achievements, several of which are simply “defeat this named enemy,” so the Achievements page is a better checklist than any invented boss rush mode.
If a name is not on this page, we do not have a confirmed public identity for it yet. Learn the arena, use the owl statue, and come back to the child guides when the region matches.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is there an official complete boss list?
No public complete roster exists. Steam and teasers name Saitin, Mirkam, Irbes, Ortrinde, Sommar, Cain, Enma, Sorron, and lore such as Nagaraja. Other bosses are still real — they are just unnamed in this wiki.
Do owl statues really heal after bosses?
Yes. The 2nd Expansion placed owl statues after boss encounters so you can recover HP when the fight is over. Use them before you leave the arena.
What is the hardest named fight?
Public notes do not rank difficulty. Community heat sits on Ortrinde's poorly telegraphed blades, Enma's illusion sorcery, and late 1.0 marsh pressure. Your worst fight is usually the one whose pattern you have not read yet.
Can I rematch bosses?
Do not assume a portal farm exists unless you have seen it in your own save. After a clear, take the owl heal, save your map progress, and move on. Replay comes from your own routing, not from invented rematch rules.
Should I change Cabitz before a boss?
Yes when the fight type changes. Aggressive Blink setups differ from Half Salvation sustain and from Heart of the Black Curse experiments. Swap on the Carox menu, then commit to learning one pattern at a time.
